Hi my angels! Today I am sharing my views on Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick; one of my recent found products. I have been suffering from adult acne for more than a year now, which led to plenty of acne scars and hyper-pigmentation on my cheeks.
If you are someone who share similar skin condition or in general you are thinking to get this foundation for yourself then make sure you continue to read.
Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick
The ultimate nude foundation—Bobbi’s iconic Foundation Stick gets an update with a unique transparent base plus skin tone correct pigments for an incredibly natural look. Its creamy yet weightless texture applies effortlessly and blends seamlessly so all you see is fresh, smooth, even skin. In 24 skin tone correct shades (our broadest shade range).
An innovative blend of emollients—like olive extracts and shea butter—help to moisturize skin (and lock it in), so skin stays looking soft and smooth all day. Light diffusing powders and oil-controlling minerals help perfect the appearance of skin while reducing shine (even in sweat, water and humidity).
After moisturizing skin, lightly apply across forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin. Blend with fingertips, sponge, or the Foundation Brush (sold separately). Build coverage as desired.
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cetyl Dimethicone, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Beeswax, Ozokerite, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Talc, Octyldodecanol, Caprylic/Capric/Myristic/Stearic Triglyceride, Silica, Propylene Glycol Laurate, Tocopherol, Squalane, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate. May Contain: Mica, Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide.
I have combination skin, which at the moment is very dry on the cheeks. I also have a lot of acne scars and hyperpigmentation. I needed a foundation to deal with both these issues. Bobbi Brown’s Skin Foundation Stick comes in a black metal packaging, which looks very sleek and compact. This one comes in a stick formula with emollients, which makes it really good for dry skin.
The formula is quite high coverage. I usually don’t go for porcelain skin so most of the times I do not use my concealer with this. Also, this one comes with skin tone correctors that really help in balancing the skin tone. The formula doesn’t make it feel heavy on the skin. It is easy to work with and blends easily with a foundation brush or a makeup sponge. However, if you have very dry skin that has dry patches then using a good moisturizer and primer will help. It doesn’t look like makeup and looks more like a fresh, natural version of my skin, if you know what I mean. It stays intact for about 9-10 hrs on my skin, after that minor touchups with powder on my T-zone as it gets a bit shiny.
I love this foundation when I do no have much time and want my foundation to work quickly. I apply it directly from the bullet on moisturized skin. I start out from the center of my face going outwards, as that’s where the focus remains — the center of the face. It is my best pick for my evenings out. I love to use it for daily wear but at the moment I have few more options at hand and I’d rather save it for the best times. 😉
The best part is, it comes in a huge range of 24 shades. My shade is Warm Beige, a medium warm shade with yellow undertones.
