Chili Cheese Toast
Hey everyone! Hope you all are doing great! Here I am again with a quick super quick and super easy treat. I know every time I post up a recipe I say, "quick and easy" but that is exactly how I want my food and cooking to be. Unless it is for some special occasion or gathering, I want cooking to be a therapy than some task, if you know what I mean. Recently, we had few guests for dinner that was when I cooked these Chilli Cheese Toast and today I will be sharing them with you. So without wasting further time, let's get started with the ingredients (serves 2):
  1. Bread slices - 2, you can use any type—white, brown, multigrain, etc.
  2. Mozzarella cheese, grated - 1 cup
  3. Capsicum, chopped - 1/2
  4. Green chilli, finely chopped - 1, OR/AND
  5. Red hot chilli sauce - 1 tsp, as per your liking
  6. Garlic, crushed - 1 clove
  7. Milk - 2 tbsp
  8. Butter - to spread
  9. Salt and black pepper
  10. Oven - preheated to 160°C
Method: Now comes the fun part, spread butter on the bread slices and pop in to your oven and toast them slightly. In the mean time, have ingredients #2-7 and #9 in a bowl and mix them together. Have your breads out of the oven and spread this cheese mixture on them, pop them in the oven again and let them there for about 10-12 min., what we are looking for is the cheese to melt completely but not burn, something pizza-like. Once that's done, take the toasts out of the oven, have a pizza cutter or a serrated knife and cut them into two diagonal slices. You can also cut them to four slices per toast in case you want smaller slices. Your cheese chili toast is done, have it hot with some ketchup of your liking.
