Thanks avoror stopping by and reading!PS.: We are going on a short trip of 2 days to Kyoto very soon, stay tuned for lots of posts and pictures on the blog. Would you like to see what I carried with me or how I pack or that kind of travel post here? Do let me know and I shall work on it.
The first time I came across something like this was years ago (when I was not into anything nails and stuff) at some makeup store in India where they had the nail paints displayed on these, basically used a plate like this as a shade card. I never thought I should actually get a nail art wheel for myself until I failed at some nail arts barely because I used my nails to practise and that is terrible, you guys. You put in a lot of effort and patience and when your design doesn't come as you want you take off all that polish and try again. It is very time consuming. Since I have owned a nail plate, doing nail art has been such a smooth process that you can't believe me. I just practise, if I like I recreate on my nails, if I don't then at least I have my previous nail art intact on my nails. 😀 I got mine from tmart.com. They have some really cool nail art supplies, in case you want to check (very affordable too :p ). 2. Nail Brushes/Q-tips Not to mention, everybody knows that you need some brushes to do your nails, well not always. It is very rare that I use brushes for designing my nails, most of the times it is for the post-nail art clean up. I have a bunch of nail brushes with me that include stripers, flat brushes, fan brushes, etc. but the ones that I love the most or you can say I can't do without are the flat bristles ones. These are super comfortable in cleaning up, just dip in nail polish remover and run along the edges of your nails and you're done with perfect nails! I got my brushes from a local drugstore and Loft (a departmental store in Tokyo), but you can always find these online. 3. Nail Dryer Nail dryer, I have to say, is hands down the best thing that I came across in recent times. Now, I know that you have those quick dry top coats and stuff but believe me guys when you are doing nails with multiple polishes and accessories it is actually a pain to wait for one layer to dry so that you can do the next. In such times, this dryer comes to the rescue for me. I never saw something like this in any drugstore or any other store like that. I got this one also from tmart.com and this is such a wonderful product. You just apply your polish/nail art and just put your fingers on the space meant for that (as you can see in the picture), which is basically a switch. The moment you press that switch the dryer fan automatically turns on and starts to dry your nails, amazing isn't it? Added benefit, it runs on battery and not electricity! With this dryer it usually takes under a minute to dry my nails completely. 😀 4. Nail Embellishment/3D Accessories Recently, I have discovered my strong liking towards nail embellishments like rhinestone, 3D accessories, etc. I have seen them at plenty of stores in Tokyo but never got to pick them up but when I was going through the online store of tmart.com I couldn't resist picking one up as they really had some cute floral and fruity nail accessories too, which I found very 'kawaii' (cute). 5. Nail Art Pencil/Wax Pencil/Crayon Pencil I have heard some people call it wax pencil, some say crayon. Whatever you call it, it is basically a nail art pencil with crayon-like touch and feel. What it does is, whenever you are doing some nail art with 3D accessories or embellishments like rhinestones or pearls, it helps in picking them up from the container and placing them on your nail. You can obviously use forceps or tweezers, but when you are dealing with very fine embellishments, the forceps become difficult to use. In such case, this pencil comes to the rescue. You just put the pencil tip on the desired embellishment and it sticks to the pencil, then you place it on your nail and you're done! I got this also from tmart.com As you can see I picked up many things from tmart.com. It's a really huge e-commerce website just like amazon or eBay. They have an array of products from apparels to electronics to makeup; you name it and they should have it. Also most of the things are very reasonably priced, I will definitely be picking up few more things. At last, this week's NOTD! As spring is finally in full bloom and summer is around the corner, I decided to do a pastel NOTD with a spring feel to it with those flowers and pretty rhinestones. 🙂 😀 I used the shade #PP504 by Etude House and the accessories from my recent accessories box from tmart.com for this look. How do you like it? What are your favourite nail tools to glam up your nails? Do you think I should do more posts to this series of 'Current Favourites'? Share some suggestions on what should I show you guys next, I'd love reading your comments.
