This month's current favourites include products that I have been loving in the skincare, nails and makeup departments. I generally do not go for a myriad of new products every month. However, I do give in occasional splurges here and there. Hence, my favourites every time are a variety of things (makeup, skincare, nails, books, travel, food, etc.) just like the theme of this blog.
In this edit of favourites I have a bunch of things that I kept coming back to in the last month. This is a mix of facial spray, sheet masks, face massage stone, acne treatment, cuticle care, nail paints, concealer, mascara, eye liner and lipstick.
Check my Current Favourites #1 here.
If you have seen and read my previous favourites post or you've followed this place for long then you'll know I have acne issues. So it would be fitting to include acne care products.
La Roche-Posay Serozinc Facial Spray - I recently tried this brand and so far I'm in the testing phase - like few days, don't like a day and so on. But in all this testing phase, I am really loving this facial spray. It is really calming and soothing for my skin as my skin is inflamed most of the days. It helps in cooling and refreshing the skin. Another plus, it has zinc, which I have read at places, helps in caring for acne prone skin, so yeah.
My Beauty Diary Sheet Masks - This is again a gem from Japan. I really developed the habit of using sheet make while living in Japan, now it's really difficult to find good budget friendly masks here. I have been using these for months (not everyday though) and I love how my skin feels afterwards. These masks are very hydrating and suit my combination, sensitive, and acne prone skin.
Face Massage Stone - I got this one from a drugstore in Japan, not sure of the brand. This is a really great tool to massage your face with, it really helps in reducing swelling and puffiness from your face. It is specially great if you are not too good in massaging with your fingers, like me. I use it couple of times a week during my night time skin care routine.
Thursday Plantation Tea Tree Medicated Gel for Acne - This has to be the star of the month. Obviously you can tell that as it has tea tree as the major ingredient. It literally dries up my acne overnight. You have to try this out if you have acne issues; if you can get your hands on this. Best part? It is all natural.
Ducato Cuticle Removing Oil - You know how much I am into nails and nail art and manicure and so on. This means I have to be sure that my cuticles are always nice and pretty and well maintained. That is when the cuticle oils come into picture. This one has been with me for a long time but I realised that past couple of weeks I have reached for this more than usual.
Nude (Loreal) and Pale Pink (Ducato) Nail Paints - Loving these two utterly gorgeous shades and redoing my nails again and again with these - guilty.
Revlon Colorstay Concealer - My favorite concealer for blemishes for years. Hands down the best if you have a lot of pigmentation. I will be sharing a detailed post about this soon, so stay tuned.
Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Mascara - This is a tricky one but I have been loving it lately. It was very wet when I first got it and didn't like it much. Couple of weeks later (it must have dried a bit) it is the mascara that I reach for every time I am doing my makeup. However, I still wipe off the wand before using it to take off any excess product from the wand.
Ettusais Liquid Eyeliner - I am not very good with liquid eyeliners and that's the reason I usually reach for pencil or gel ones. This one has been a game changer for me. There rare many pen-style eyeliners in the market but I have never been lucky with any until I got my hands on this one before leaving Japan. I then, somehow, forgot about it and it got lost in the makeup drawer until recently when I cleaned my drawers and found it again. I have been using it very frequently for the past month.
L'Oreal Moist Matt Lipstick in Cherry Crush - Again, one of my absolute favourites. I love this range from L'Oreal, the formula is great, packaging is luxe, stays for long hours and doesn't leave my lips dry or uncomfortable. This shade in particular is my favourite; it's a very pretty everyday pink that you can wear almost anywhere and anytime.
That's a wrap of my current favourites. I tag you to share your current favourites from any area - makeup, skincare, books, food, blog, etc. with me in the comments section below.
