Current Favourites #3 | Face & Body

Current Favourites

This month's "Current Favourites" post is coming a little late that usual. I planned for this post to go up earlier but there was some issue with the pictures that I clicked and I had to re-shoot the entire thing. :/

Anyways, let's leave all that behind and dive into this month's favourites. It is a bunch of things this time - not just beauty or makeup related. Some of these are returning favourites and some are first time purchases. In this episode of favourites I have a makeup brush, cleanser pad, face peel off, green tea, hair serum, facial cleansing brush, facial moisturiser and a book.

Current Favourites

BYS Powder Brush - I got this brush while on our trip to Sydney. It was an impromptu purchase, I came across this shop, liked the stuff and picked it up as my brush was almost dead. Surprisingly, this is way too good for my expectations. I didn't expect it to be this great, but it has proven me wrong. It is super soft, great to work with and sheds not even a single hair.

BYS Pore Cleanser - Again, this was also a random purchase from the same store I picked up the brush from. However, I knew I wasn't going to use it for the purpose it is meant for; but I really liked it as an inexpensive tool to clean my dirty makeup brushes with. To my surprise, it really helps in cleaning even my dirtiest brushes with an ease. The pattern on this really helps in getting all the gunk off the brushes.

Meishoku DET Clear Bright & Peel Peeling Jelly - This is an awesome skin care product that I have always loved. However, only recently I have been reaching more often for this. It is a gel-based peeling exfoliator that dissolves the impurities, dead skin, black heads, and peels them off of your skin.

Nerada Organics Green Tea - As much as I miss Japan, I miss having access to great varieties of matcha, oolong, green tea, etc. I have always loved oolong more than green tea, due to some reason. But, contrary to the liking, I have been really enjoying this particular green tea by Nerada. I have tried green tea from quite a few brands but so far only this has made a mark in my liking book.

John Freida Frizz Ease 6 Effects Serum -  If you remember catching up on my summer must haves post, you'd remember my love for Loreal Absolut Repair Lipidium. That has been my HG hair serum for years now. Recently, when I ran out of my only bottle, I had to look up for something new as I couldn't find it in any of the drugstores I checked. That is when I came across this alternative by John Freida. I have to admit, I am already half way through my bottle. I love it so much, it doesn't weigh down my hair, and has 6 effects, including heat protection...what?!

OLAY Regenerist Advanced Cleansing System - I have never used Clarisonic so I can't compare this one to that. But, as much as I have used this facial cleansing system, I have to say I am really liking the way it makes my skin feel post the usage. It takes care of the dead and flaky skin and keeps it soft. Although, I do not use it more than 2-3 times per week.

LUSH Vanishing Cream - This is my holy grail, all time favourite facial moisturiser. I am on my fourth or fifth jar I think, or maybe more. This is the perfect day cream that suits my acne-prone skin. It is also one of the rarest products to which my skin has not developed resistance. I also shared this one in my first ever favourites post here.

Shogun by James Clavell - I have been hooked onto this book. It only appears intentional that this is related to Japan but believe me it wasn't. I picked it up after reading somewhere and I am so thankful that I did. This novel gives you a brief insight into historic feudal Japan. A must read if you are into history and Japan.

That's all for current favourites. Tell me what are your current favourites that you just can't do without. I'd love to know. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!
