Current Hair Care Routine | Beauty Diaries

Hair care is one of the most crucial routines, equally important to your skin care routines. Since my hair seems to be in a better place with my current routine, I thought why not share my current hair care routine with you guys. This is basically a round up of things/products that I have been using lately. I am super lazy when it comes to taking care - read fancy care - of my hair. I do not do much, there are a bunch of things that I do (that we all lazy chaps do) and call it a day. When it comes to hair care, all I do is shampoo, condition, oil (need to do it more though), and nourish by serum. That is all.

Interested in cheking out my favourties? Check some more of them here.

Usually, I do not repeat a shampoo/conditioner consecutively. I like trying new ones as soon as I run out of my supply. Currently, I am really liking coconut; hence, a lot of coconut-y products are in my routine for hair as well as body care. I have listed down my favourites below in the order I like to use them.

hair care
  1. Oil (Spiral Foods Extra Virgin Coconut Oil) - This is the most difficult step for me as I told ya I am super lazy. However, I still try to accomplish this step every week at least once. I love using coconut oil for this step as since I was a child I used that only. It smells delicious, leave my hair super moisturized and helps them in growing longer. The only down side could be a long time needed to wash it off next morning.hair care
  2. Shampoo (Tresemme Botanique Shampoo Restore & Shine) - The obvious next step. As I mentioned, I rarely repeat my shampoo and conditioner consecutively. This is my first time using this range by Tresemme and I am not exaggerating you guys, I absolutely love it. This one doesn't weigh down my hair or make them super dry and squeaky clean. There have been days (especially when my hair is oiled) when I skip the conditioner and still, my hair would feel very hydrated and not a zilch dry or rough.
  3. Conditioner (Tresemme Botanique Conditioner Restore & Shine) - Next up after shampooing my hair, I really like to nourish them back with this conditioner by Tresemme. I generally prefer using the shampoo and conditioner from the same range. This conditioner controls the frizz and makes my hair soft and manageable. The best part about this range is that these are silicone free and contains no parabens or dyes.hair care
  4. Serum (John Frieda Frizz Ease) - I may not have the frizziest hair in the world but frizzy enough to consider a serum or leave in conditioner a must for my hair care. I absolutely loved this one by L'oréal but I couldn't find it near me so I switched to this one by John Freida when the time came. I really like the fact that this one is multifunctional - frizz control, humidity protection, hydration, heat protection, smoothing and taming. This really controls the frizz in my hair days when I skip conditioner.hair care
  5. Dry Oil (NUXE Huile Prodigieuse) - This one is not a must have for everyone but for me.  It really fills in the void for times when I have a bad hair day and I am in a rush. Also on days when my hair look totally dead. I just take few drops and touch up the ends of my hair and they look alive again, without making them look oily. I also love this particular product for it is multi-use - face, body and hair; hence, it's a must while travelling.hair care

That rounds up my hair care products for now. I'll update this post in future when things change or share a new post altogether. Meanwhile, I'd like to know what are your favourites hair care products. Share in the comments below.

These new Tresemme series are my current favourite too. 😊 I will try out the other products you have mentioned . Loved the post 😘

    • Thanks for stopping by love! <3

  • Sayanti Mahapatra

I need to get my hands on the John Frieda Frizz Ease Serum ASAP. Brilliant post 🙂

    • I hope you do soon. Thanks a lot Sayanti! xx

  • Familyearthtrek

I agree about the coconut oil, a super natural product both for eating and as beauty product! The frizz ease serum looks good! I am not sure though it can handle my super duper frizzy hair.

    • I agree on that. I do not have super frizzy hair, but moderately frizzy and it worker really well on my hair.

  • Laura Dove

I use coconut oil on my hair all the time, its such a multi use product, we put it on our hair, skin and cook with it too! Its my absolute beauty must have!

    • I know right, love coconut oil! xx

  • Lauren Roberts

I love using coconut oil on my hair! I don’t use any of the other products because I only use all natural products, but I have friends that use Tres Semme and love it!

    • Coconut oil is really great, I love it dearly. Oh I’d love to know any recommendations for natural shampoo and conditioners. 🙂 xx

  • Star Harford

You use a lot of products on your hair! I lobe the smell of coconut but have never thought to use coconut oil on my hair, in fact any oil at all because I would be worried about washing it out. My hair care is shampoo, conditioner and then heat resistant serum to stop my straighteners damaging my hair too much

    • I used to be worried about the same while using oil on my hair, but then after seeing the results I cannot help using it regularly.

  • I use tresseme shampoo (the blue label one for shine) and it’s honestly my favourite shampoo. I haven’t found any other that does as good a job! And I haaaaate anything coconut so miss out on lots of products

    • Hahaha, I get it, some people do not like coconut at all. xx

  • Jhilmil Bhansali

I need to have this frizz ease now for sure. I used tresseme shampoo for so long but have recently switched to Organic – Biotin containing shampoo.

    • Oh tell me how it is, would love to give it a try. 🙂

  • Georgiana Quaint

I keep seeing people recommending the coconut oil but at the same time it is not every coconut oil out there that is high quality. To be honest I am quite lost because none of my favourite brands offer coconut oil 😀
My personal favourite is argan oil and rose oil.

    • I know what you mean, but I try to look for organic, cold pressed, and extra virgin ones, that I can also use in cooking.

  • These items are the great for Hair care routine. My favorite is organice Coconut oil that too cold-pressed. Even it is better for skin care too. Thanks for sharing!

    • Yes, that’s what I prefer. 🙂 xx

  • Captain Macoy

Thanks for sharing! Honestly I’m one of the people doesn’t care what shampoo i use as long i see the label it’s shampoo then i use it and I don’t even use conditioner 😂 but then i read your blog I’m gonna take care my hair from now on.

    • Hahaha, I get you, I used to be like that until a few years back. Now, since my hair aren’t as great as they used to be I try to be selective. 🙂

  • Chei Pangan

Tresseme is really a great product. I have been using this for years and my hair is really soft.

    • Completely agree with you on that! 🙂

  • Margarette Puno

Treseme has changed a lot in my hair. It became more softer and split ends has gone so far. It really is a great product.

    • Tresemme is a really great haircare brand IMO. 🙂

  • I have a lot of (frizzy) hair so I keep it short. Currently I use the Hask Macadamia shampoo and Hask Coconut conditioner. It seems to be working well. Thamks for sharing that coconut oil. I think I need to try to find it.

    • Oh I’d love to hear more about that macadamia S&C, I haven’t tried any good ones so far. xx

      • Sulphate and Paraben free and really gentle on the locks. It’s pricey but worth it.
