Hanabi [Fireworks, 花火] | OOTD ft. My New Shades by GlassesShop
Hi everyone! It's hanabi time! Hanabi is a summer festival, wherein large and spectacular fireworks are at show near a river; people come in large numbers and enjoy hanabi from a park or a nearby area from where the sky and firework is visible.
Every weekend there is something or the other happening and past week we had firework festival (花火 hanabi) in Sumida ward.
Sumidagawa fireworks are one of the largest and spectacular in Japan. It is our third year in Japan experiencing hanabi. We knew finding a good spot for hanabi viewing would be if we didn't reach by noon. But as it was extremely hot and humid, we decided to leave home around 5 PM instead of noon. When we reached the venue, we were shocked!! It was crazy packed, no place to sit, people walking and watching just trying to grab a good spot for hanabi viewing...phew!
For my OOTD for our hanabi viewing, I wore a straight, long, black skirt with a georgette white blouse that had peter pan collar and pretty birds flying on it. Since, we left early and it was still very hot and sun was very much there, I grabbed my new pair of shades that I got from GlassesShop for a review on my blog. GlassesShop is an American online shop for sunglasses andprescription glasses. When I checked their website, I was amazed at the variety of sunglasses they had and the prices were in a large range; so I am sure anyone can find their choices. What's more? They also have cheap glasses, so once you share your RX and PD (pupillary distance), you can also get your prescription glasses made in one of the many options that they have.
I picked up Champigny Round Black pair with some gold details and I am in love! Since the day I got these, I have been wearing these majority of the times. They give a very high sun protection and the frame is sturdy. I love the way these fit on me, thanks to the website that has clear dimensions of the products so you can have an idea before you purchase your pick.
