LUSH Catastrophe Cosmetic | Review

Catastrophe Cosmetic
Today, I am sharing my views on this acne-prone skin friendly mask by LUSH called as Catastrophe Cosmetic. We all have a certain kind of taste that defines our preferences, be it in how we live or what we use on a day-to-day basis. For me, LUSH cosmetics has been my most preferred brand when it comes to skincare. As many of you might know, I am an adult-acne sufferer; therefore, this makes me continuously try and test products in order to find what serves my skin best.

My Experience with LUSH Catastrophe Cosmetic

Catastrophe Cosmetic is a fresh-face mask by LUSH. It is a blueberry mask which is very soothing and calming on my sensitive skin. The texture of this mask is thick paste like with visible bits of blueberries. It smells very refreshing and blueberry like. It comes in the regular LUSH black tub packaging. One tub is meant to be used up in four uses. Over a period of time this mask has helped in reducing the redness on my face. These fresh face masks are freshly prepared (as you can tell by the name) and hence have a very short shelf life of just a month. These are to be kept refrigerated, if not they start smelling foul. This mask (as a fact almost all of my masks) scores a place in my evening/night-time skin-care routine. I scoop out a tablespoon of this this mask and apply it all over my face, of course not the eyes and mouth. I leave it on for 10–12 minutes and then wash it off with warm water. My skin feels really fresh and nourished, and after multiple uses (I'm on my third tub) it has really helped in reducing the acne and redness. I have combination skin; this mask works great for me. What I like about Catastrophe Cosmetic

  • Really hydrating and soothing for my sensitive skin.
  • Helps in reducing acne and redness.
  • Perfect with both summers as well as winters.
  • Doesn't irritate my sensitive, acne-prone skin.
  • Great for days when my skin feels dehydrated and dull.
  • The fact that you can recycle! Yes, you can get a new fresh face mask by LUSH if you return 5 empty LUSH tubs/bottles, isn't it great?

What I don't like about Catastrophe Cosmetic

  • Not a dislike, but I wish it came in a regular mask range as well. Sometimes when you have many masks on hand, keeping a track of expiries becomes difficult and this one dies in a blink!

Final Thoughts:

I am really happy with this mask and as you can tell, this one has a permanent place in my skincare must haves.
