Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain Miami Fever | Review, Swatches, Photos

Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain_Caption_1.1
Hi everyone! Few weeks back I showed you guys what I got from my mini India haul, not a huge one but still a bunch of pretties. Today, I am reviewing a product from that haul and that is the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain in Miami Fever.  This range was launched in Tokyo couple of months back but somehow I didn't get a chance to pick up then and by the time I could embrace myself to go out and pick one it was not available in that drugstore. I searched for it in so many places but I don't know why I never found these anywhere easily; same happened with me in case of Revlon Colorburst Matte balms too :(. Anyhow, let's get back to this beauty. This is such a pretty spring/summer shade that I had to get it when I saw it. If you are reluctant to go for such bright orange colours otherwise I suggest you try this one as it comes out as a really comfortable orange on lips not as striking as in the packaging. It comes in a very sleek and edgy color-coded packaging with a slightly broader doe-foot applicator than the usual glosses, which is great for precise application. It is very highly pigmented, in one swipe you get a pop of true colour on your lips which is buildable, you can intensify or soften the colour as per your liking. The texture initially looks very gooey and thick but once you are done applying on your lips it transforms to a very lightweight, non-sticky, shiny gloss on your lips. The formula is very hydrating and soothing to the lips; my lips were very soft even after hours of wearing it. The gloss gave me a wear time of about 2.5 to 3 hours after which the shine faded away to a lovely stain which remained for about 6-7 hours with eating and drinking in between.   Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain_Miami Fever_Lip Swatch_3 What I like:
  • Bright orange colour, perfect for spring/summer
  • Lightweight and non-sticky texture.
  • Very hydrating formula that keeps the lips soft, smooth and hydrated.
  • Broader doe-foot applicator gives you better hold to work and blend it on the lips.
  • Very highly pigmented; true colour in one swipe.
  • As the name–Moisture Stain–it fades away to a lovely stain
What I don't like:
  • Not a dislike as such but yes it would have been great if these had a higher staying power, but as this is a gloss and ends into a lovely stain, I don't mind that. πŸ™‚
Overall: This is such a gorgeous gloss + stain that I have come across in a long time. These have a perfect blend of pigmentation and hydration. I will definitely be getting a few more from this range. πŸ™‚ Price: INR 675 INR 540 (currently at 20% off as is having a massive summer sale at the moment) Available at: Will I repurchase? YES! :p Rating (out of 5): Screen Shot 2015-04-08 at 19.26.06 Have you tried this or any other shade from the Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain range? Which one is your favourite?
