I know Sakura is officially gone everywhere but let me make you live the beautiful dreamy times of Sakura a little longer through my posts. I am not going to lie, I have dozens of posts filled with pictures of these babies. This post is from the hanami that I did with my bunch of girls at the Ueno park. Let me tell you this, Sakura + parks + day time = total madness.
A couple of weeks back when Sakura was all around, I did numerous hanamis (spring picnics under cherry blossom trees). We went to many parks, Ueno Park was one of them. It was the most crowded park I ever went to for hanami. Make sure that if you ever decide to go this park with your group, you meet at the station first instead of the park. There are so many train lines and exits that a lot of time gets wasted without your realizing.
As soon as we all met, we acquired a cozy corner and placed out tarps. Then began the session of unlimited chats, food (although we bought homemade snacks but you can always rely on the convenience stores, they are pretty good), games (we also carried bingo and such games), music, and simple admiration of nature's beauty.
I have always been a lover of nature, I enjoy more in parks, riverside strolls, hikes, and the like as compared to the other outings. This means I would always love picnics, but Tokyo weather doesn't always allow you to go out and relax like that. It'd be fair to say that this year I encashed all of my picnic doses in one go during the cherry blossom season.
I hope you enjoyed going through this post and looking at the pretty pictures. Did you check my previous post featuring this season's first sakura? Check here.:)
Have you ever done a hanami? How was your experience? I'd love to know your thoughts and stories.
As always, thanks for stopping by!
